The park has it's own tea rooms where you can enjoy a delicious devonshire tea or an ice cream. Visit historic port albert (best fish and chips) or catch your own. The ninety mile beach is approximately 40 kilometres away if you like to surf. The national parks with their lush fern gullies, water falls, ancient myrtle beech, giant mountain ash, lyrebirds and the suspension bridge at tarra bulga are one of victoria's best kept secrets and a must to see. Tarra valley is 19 kilometres from yarram. Two large barbecue sheds with huge open fires and free gas barbecues along with a playground for the children makes staying a very pleasant experience. Snug, powered and tent sites right on the river (watch for the platypus, rustic cabins, trout and freshwater crays).
